When to use these contacts
There may be times when you need support that is more immediate than counselling can provide. Emergency and crisis services are there for situations where you, or someone else, may be at immediate risk of harm.
Please use the emergency contacts provided if:
- You are thinking about suicide or feel you may act on these thoughts.
- You are at risk of harming yourself or someone else.
- You are experiencing a mental health crisis and feel unable to keep yourself or someone else safe.
- You are experiencing or witnessing immediate violence, abuse or danger.
- You need urgent medical or mental health assistance.
- You are supporting someone who is in immediate danger and needs urgent help.
You do not need to wait for a counselling appointment in these situations. Please contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service directly.
Counselling is not an emergency service, and I may not always be available immediately. If you are unsure whether something is urgent, it is always okay to ask for help.
